Chapter1-Dharamapath - The Path of Righteousness

Dharamapath - the city of legacies, once ruled by three powerful families: the Raghuvanshis, the Suryavanshis, and the Singhanias. Over generations, alliances had shifted, power had changed hands, and the city had endured both glory and darkness. The Raghuvanshi name had fallen into infamy, accused of illegal dealings and human trafficking. Their family was believed destroyed, erased from Dharamapath’s history. Or so everyone thought until one man remained: Rudransh Raghuvanshi, a living shadow of his family, now the prime target of Devraj Suryavanshi.

DEVRAJ POV

The jungle air reeked of damp earth and fear. Devraj Suryavanshi, stood over the figure tied to an ancient oak, the shadows stretching like fingers around him. The man’s identity had shaken Dharamapath in whispers for weeks Rudransh Raghuvanshi, the so-called remnant of a family once allied with the Singhanias and Suryavanshis. The Raghuvanshis’ past was dark; now, Rudransh’s crimes were undeniable. Human trafficking, illegal dealings the proofs were all in place.

Chandika stood beside him, her dusky skin glowing in the moonlight, her eyes sharp. “This is justice,” she said, her voice steady, carrying both fury and conviction. “He thought he could continue after all these years… but not under my watch. Not under ours.”

Devraj tightened his grip on the rope. As he prepared to throw Rudransh into the clearing, where nocturnal predators waited. There was no flicker of guilt in Rudransh’s eyes. Instead, a smirk curved his lips a bold, unnerving expression. The audacity, the fearlessness. With one final shove, Rudransh disappeared into the darkness, the jungle ready to exact its punishment.

CHANDIKA POV

I have always believed that no one no matter their power, their family, or their charm has the right to harm the innocent. Tonight, it wasn’t a trap or months of preparation that caught him it was justice itself. The trafficked girls, terrified and desperate, had led to him, and when he stepped into my path, he met Kali herself.

His presence was monstrous, but I held my ground, every fiber of my being burning with righteous fury. He believed he could act with impunity, but in my eyes, there was no mercy. The authorities and Devraj’s men struck immediately, and the moment was over he was caught, tied, and at the mercy of the law, while the jungle beyond waited to seal his fate.

FEW HOURS AGO

CHANDIKA POV

The city streets had been quiet that night, but beneath the calm, a cruel strategy was unfolding. Middle-class girls, with no strong family or protection, were the perfect prey. They were lured under false promises of jobs and safety easy targets, invisible to the world. Among them, I had walked silently for months, assuming the role of one of these vulnerable girls, a girl from a village with no family to fight for her, no one to notice her disappearance.

When the traffickers moved their captives, they drugged the girls into unconsciousness and transported them to a hidden godown. The air inside reeked of fear and chemicals, and shadows of unknown men flitted across the dimly lit walls. Every movement was precise; every plan meticulous. I had a small tracker sewn into my dress button a lifeline that would guide Devraj’s team.

Through the haze of unconscious bodies, I overheard hushed conversations. “Our boss is coming,” one man whispered. The mention of a name I had only heard in rumors sent a chill down my spine: Rudransh Raghuvanshi. The stories were dark, painting him as the mastermind behind black marketing and countless illegal trades. He was the shadow everyone feared, the villain of the city’s whispers.

And then he arrived. Tall, imposing, and terrifyingly calm,Rudransh Raghuvanshi.

The sound of engines broke the tension. Devraj Suryavanshi, composed, sharp, and commanding, led the team that would descend upon the godown. Men were taken down swiftly, chained or incapacitated. The captives remained, still unconscious, but the chaos had begun. Rudransh was seized, tied, and restrained but his eyes remained unreadable, his expression calm and almost… challenging, as if he had expected this confrontation.

As he was carried out, my heart raced. Every instinct screamed that justice had been done. Devraj had acted decisively, the city’s shadow had been captured, and Dharamapath’s streets would be safer. And yet, in the back of my mind, a faint unease lingered.
